VMPKP Agriculture College is the founding institution of V.M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan, dedicated to empowering youth with practical, skill-based agricultural education rooted in sustainability and traditional wisdom.
VMPKP Agriculture College, officially known as Krushi Tantra Niketan, was established in 2008 as the first educational initiative under the V.M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan (VMPKP). It was founded with a clear mission — to uplift the children of farmers, tribal communities by equipping them with knowledge, techniques, and values for modern agriculture.
The college offers a dynamic learning environment where traditional farming knowledge is integrated with scientific agricultural practices. It serves as a vital bridge between grassroots farming wisdom and today’s agritech advancements, enabling students to become self-reliant and entrepreneurial in the agrarian sector.
Situated at Gurukul Shikshan Sankul, Vangaon (Palghar), the college is affiliated with Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, and is equipped with demo farms, seed banks, laboratories, and green learning zones that support hands-on training and applied research.
Over the years, the Agriculture College has produced hundreds of skilled agri-professionals who have gone on to lead farms, agri-businesses, and government projects. It remains at the heart of VMPKP’s mission to make youth the innovators and custodians of India’s agricultural future.
