How to join

6 programmes across five colleges, all on one campus at Asangaon. Here is what each one needs, what to bring, and who to talk to.

The process

Five steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Choose a college

    Five colleges teach 6 programmes between them. The table below lists every one with its duration and entry requirement.

  2. 2

    Check you are eligible

    The diplomas admit after 10th or 12th; the LL.B. is graduate entry. Pharmacy admission follows Pharmacy Council of India norms.

  3. 3

    Register or visit

    Fill in the CET registration form, or come to the campus office at Asangaon between 10:00 and 17:00, Monday to Saturday.

  4. 4

    Bring your documents

    Marksheets, school leaving certificate, caste certificate where it applies, income certificate for scholarship claims, Aadhaar and passport photographs.

  5. 5

    Apply for your scholarship

    The office will tell you which Government of Maharashtra schemes you qualify for and help you file. Do this at admission rather than later.

What to bring

Bring originals and one set of photocopies. If a document is still with a previous school, come anyway and tell the office — it is usually workable.

  • Degree marksheets and certificate (for LL.B.)
  • School or college leaving certificate
  • Caste certificate and validity, where applicable
  • Income certificate, for scholarship and freeship claims

Scholarships & freeships

A large share of students here study on a Government of Maharashtra scholarship or freeship. Schemes exist for Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, OBC, SBC/VJNT, minority and economically weaker students, and there are separate schemes that support girls' education.

The campus office handles the paperwork with you at the time of admission. Bring your income and caste certificates so nothing has to be chased later.

What is V. M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan?

V. M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan is an educational trust founded in 2008 at Asangaon, Taluka Dahanu, District Palghar, Maharashtra. It runs five colleges — design, pharmacy, agriculture, hospitality and law — from a single campus known as the Gurukul Shikshan Sankul.

Which colleges does the trust run?

Five: S.P. College of B.Design, Y.N.P. College of Pharmacy, Krishi Tantra Niketan, Manubhai Mehta College of Hospitality Studies and VMPKP College of Law.

Where is the campus and how do I reach it?

The campus is at Asangaon, near Vangaon railway station, Taluka Dahanu, District Palghar 401103. It sits on the Mumbai–Dahanu Road suburban line of the Western Railway; Vangaon and Boisar are the nearest stations.

How do I apply for admission?

Register through the trust’s CET registration form, or visit the campus office between 10:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Saturday. Admission requirements differ by college — degree pharmacy and law admissions run through the relevant state process, while the diploma courses admit directly.

Is the B.Design college only for women?

Yes. S.P. College of B.Design is a women’s college affiliated to S.N.D.T. Women’s University, and was the eighth girls’ Bachelor of Design college established in the country.

Are scholarships available?

Students are assisted with the Government of Maharashtra scholarship and freeship schemes they qualify for, including schemes for Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, OBC and economically weaker students. The campus office handles the paperwork.
