The eighth girls’ B.Design college in the country.
S.P. College of B.Design is a women’s design college at Asangaon, Dahanu, established in 2017 by V. M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan and affiliated to S.N.D.T. Women’s University. It teaches a four-year Bachelor of Design degree and was the eighth girls’ B.Design college established in India.
The college was opened so that a young woman from Dahanu or Palghar would not have to move to Mumbai to train as a designer. It teaches the full four-year Bachelor of Design degree of S.N.D.T. Women’s University, from foundation drawing and material studies through to a graduating collection.
Studios are built around doing rather than watching. Students drape on the stand, cut their own patterns, work the industrial machines in the garment workshop, and take their illustration into digital tools in the computer lab. Industrial visits to manufacturing and processing units run through the course.
A full-time four-year design degree with a fashion and textile emphasis, covering design fundamentals, pattern making, garment construction, digital illustration and a final graduating collection.

The Bachelor of Design is a four-year full-time degree. The entry requirement is a pass at 12th standard or an equivalent qualification.
