Manubhai Mehta College of Hospitality Studies

Hospitality is the one industry on this coast that already employs at scale — the hotels and resorts of Dahanu, Bordi and the Palghar shoreline, and the kitchens and front desks of Mumbai two hours down the line. The college exists so that those jobs can be entered as a qualified professional rather than as untrained labour.

The B.Sc. in Hospitality Studies is a practical degree. Teaching runs across the four operational departments — food production, food and beverage service, front office and housekeeping — alongside nutrition, hotel accounting and hospitality law, with industrial training placing students inside working hotels.
